Do I need to prepare for my appointment?
It is recommended that you take a shower a day before or the day of your lash appointment, to avoid getting lashes/brows wet after the appointment. Ensure your lashes/brows are clean for the lash appointment, and avoid any makeup or oily based products around the eye region 4 hours prior. For all lash services, caffeine should be avoided to avoid fluttery eyes during the process.
Will a lash lift/lash extension service ruin my natural lashes?
No, the lash specialists at Miyabeauty are fully certified with the knowledge and skills in lash application. During the consultation, we will give our professional opinion to ensure that the style of lashes is suitable for your natural lashes and will not compromise the health of your natural lashes.
How long does the appointment take?
Eyelash Extension services will be approximately 2-2.5 hours.
Lash lift appointments will be approximately 1-1.5 hours.
Brow lamination packages will be approximately 1-2 hours.
Are consultations free of charge?
Yes, consultations are free of charge! Consultations are normally done at the beginning of your scheduled lash appointment, however, if you have any additional questions, feel free to message us directly for a email/instagram message consultation.
How long do they last?
Eyelash Extensions:
-Generally, eyelash extensions last approximately 3-weeks. The aftercare and cleanliness of the lashes is crucial for the longevity of the lashes. Oils can gradually break down the strength of the lash adhesive in application, therefore it is important to clean the lashes regularly and avoid oil based products. Buildup of debris, makeup, etc should also be cleaned to maintain healthy lash condition and eye hygiene.
Lash Lift & Brow Lamination:
-Lash lifts can last from 4 weeks to 6 weeks
What is the aftercare instructions for the lashes?
Eyelash Extension aftercare:
-Normal shedding is on average 2-5 natural lashes per day, therefore routine maintenance is required around the 3-week mark
-Do not wet eye region for 48 hours & avoid steam after lash appointment
-No gel/oil based eye products or makeup
-No waterproof makeup/mascara
-Clean your lashes daily with lash shampoo to remove dirt, makeup, oil build up that can effect the retention of the lash extensions (available for in-studio purchase)
-Please do not fully submerge your lashes in pressured water
-Do not spray lash extensions with makeup setting spray
Lash Lift aftercare:
-Do not wet eye region for 24 hours after lash appointment
-Water based mascara can be used 24 hours after lash appointment
-Avoid waterproof mascara
-Do not forcefully rub the lashes
Brow Lamination aftercare:
-Do not wet brows for 24 hours after the appointment
-Avoid brow makeup or rubbing of the brows for 24 hours after the appointment

Do we accept foreign lash extension fills?
Our senior lash specialist at Miyabeauty accepts foreign fills on a situation basis with an additional cost. Foreign fills require more work to blend to give you the Miyabeauty standard of lashes. Understanding that other lash artists have different levels of technique and styles, there are instances where the previous work cannot be filled over. We will try our best to assess the lashes prior to the appointment through photos and video of the lashes.
Can I get eyelash extensions after getting a lash lift done?
It is recommended that you wait a minimum of 1 month from your lash lift service before you get eyelash extensions.
